DESCRIPTION

The volunteer coordinator provides  general support to Children’s Ministries and promotes the ongoing mission of Christ Community Church.

LOCATION: Brookside Campus
REPORTS TO: Pastor of Children’s Ministries
STATUS: Part-Time
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sunday Morning Hourly Supervisor

  • Direct volunteers
  • Oversee children’s ministry department for one service
  • Communicates any needs and observations to supervisor
  • Provide administrative support and service

Weekly

  • Provide communication to volunteers
  • Coordinate all volunteer positions
  • Attend weekly children’s ministry planning meeting

Children’s Ministries Special Events & Training

  • Direct support to Pastor of Children’s Ministry for special events (such as VBS)
  • Attend and help lead teacher orientation/child protection training
  • Participate in ongoing children’s ministry training
  • Help administer, plan, and serve at volunteer appreciation events

              POSITION DESCRIPTION

              The ministry assistant provides administrative support to campus team(s) and/or senior leadership, working as the administrative liaison between other campuses and the Multisite team, promoting the ongoing mission of Christ Community Church.

              STATUS: Part-Time

              PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

              Liaison between campus and Multisite teams

              • Church database entry and reporting
              • Purchasing for the campus 
              • Printing – coordinate with Communications team

              Logistical Support and Project Management 

              • Communication/Scheduling/Office
                • Content collection for broadcast communications
                • Proofread campus specific communication
                • Maintain campus calendar 
                • Coordinate with Facilities team
                • Oversee campus office inventory and supplies
                • Track attendance
                • Prepare contect for Sunday morning
              • Guest Services/Hospitality
                • Maintain Welcome Center appearance as needed
                • Hospitality team assistance
                • Oversee campus kitchen inventory and supplies as needed
                • Weekly guest emails and follow-up
                • Assist with welcome events (e.g. Next Steps class, membership class)
              • Community Groups
                •  Administrative support as needed
              • Special Events and Programs
                • Assist with coordination and administration (e.g. volunteer appreciation, Christmas Eve, and other special services)

              General

              • Assist with general administrative tasks
              • Participate in team meetings

              DESCRIPTION

              We are looking for childcare workers at all of our campuses. The childcare worker ensures that children enrolled in childcare (excluding Sunday morning programming) are physically and emotionally well cared for and spiritually nurtured during their classroom stay.

              POSITION PURPOSE

              • Care for children while their parents/guardians are participating in various ministries:
                • Pay friendly attention to each child
                • Talk in pleasant tones
                • Play with children during free time
                • Give gentle care to crying children
                • Follow verbal or written instructions from parents/guardians
                • Take part in activities so children can learn by imitation
                • Encourage and praise children’s efforts
              • Help children know God’s love by building a relationship with them 

              RESPONSIBILITIES

              • Deliver Bible lessons as scheduled by the Coordinator
              • Communicate classroom needs to Coordinator to ensure adequate supplies, resources, and equipment 
              • Arrive at the requested time each day
              • Cooperate with other workers
              • Follow all classroom guidelines as stated in the Policy and Procedures Handbook to guarantee that Christ Community’s established standard for child care is maintained

              EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

              • Attend required Teacher Orientation/Child Protection Training annually
              • Good communication skills necessary to inspire others and communicate goals
              • Flexibility in an ever-changing ministry environment
              • Become acquainted with the developmental abilities of the children
              • Establish and maintain positive relationships with other employees, children, and parents/guardians
              • Support and promote the biblical teachings of Christ Community
              • There are physical demands that include but are not limited to lifting, bending over, assisting children on the playground, sitting on the floor to interact with children, and rising quickly
              • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or situations that could quickly escalate into an emergency
