Pastor of Corporate Worship

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Pastor of Corporate Worship for each Campus leads and gives overall direction to worship arts ministries, working with the campus staff to further the mission of Christ Community with an emphasis on doing so in and through artists at that campus.

REPORTS TO Campus Pastor or Campus Executive Pastor
STATUS:   Part-time
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, focus, development, design, and implementation of worship gatherings for the local campus. Ensure that corporate worship gatherings are planned and carried out with excellence worthy of God 
  • Identify, recruit, and develop a growing (qualitatively and quantitatively) team of individuals in the congregation who will engage the congregation in united expressions of worship.
  • Lead/supervise staff (paid and unpaid) in worship arts ministries
  • Assist all members of the pastoral staff (children, youth, adults) as they work toward mentoring and leading others in united expressions of worship
  • Integrate the best of traditional, liturgical, and contemporary expressions of corporate worship
  • Seek opportunities to have a faithful presence in the broader Kansas City arts community
  • Integrally reflect the beauty of the worship space with creativity and versatility in a variety of styles of music, artistic expressions, and media

AS A MEMBER OF THE PASTORAL TEAM AT CHRIST COMMUNITY

  • Provide pastoral duties as needed.
  • Support and promote the mission, constitution and bylaws of Christ Community
  • Hold true to the theology and beliefs outlined in the EFCA Statement of Faith
  • Participate in staff prayer and planning meetings
  • Be accountable in the use of time and diligent in carrying out established administrative processes 
  • Be accountable to the financial parameters established in the annual budget process
  • Seek, over time, licensing (credentialing) with the Evangelical Free Church of America
  • Successfully complete the adult formation training program of the church (Church for Monday)
  • Be actively involved in a community group for the purpose of personal spiritual growth and accountability

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • A leader with broad experience and education in the arts; undergraduate degree with at least two years experience in planning and leading worship in a church setting (preferred)
  • High degree of competency in music theory and arranging; experience working with a variety of art forms
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with other artists
  • Proven developer of others/team builder
  • Possess and model integrity of heart and skillful hands
  • Embrace Christ Community’s doctrine, mission and philosophy of ministry
  • Commitment to being a lead artist as well as a lead worshiper
  • Commitment to following Christ, able to lead in ministry, and a heart for serving the local church
  • Exceptional communicator

IT Systems Administrator

IT Systems Administrator

DESCRIPTION

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for providing IT systems administration and technical support across all Christ Community locations, furthering the ongoing mission of the church. Evening and weekend work is expected.

POSITION: IT Systems Administrator
REPORTS TO: Director of Infrastructure
STATUS: Full Time
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Related undergraduate degree or significant work experience in a related field
    Attentive to details; strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Mac OS, and Google Workspace applications
    Working knowledge of network systems and multisite network connectivity
    Able to communicate technical details to non technical people (ability to translate “Tech-ese”)
  • Relate and work well with church staff and lay leadership
  • Able to work well individually and as a team player
  • Able to manage multiple projects and project timelines.
  • Able to work weekends and evening
  • Experience in a multisite/multi-campus environment is desired
  • Experience with task management or project management software is desired
  • Understanding of Church Management Systems databases (ChMS) or similar Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools
  • No reimbursement for relocation

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical design, support, and maintenance for Church systems and software, including but not limited to:

    • Client (Windows OS, Mac OS, Chrome OS) hardware and software
    • Mobile (iOS, Android) hardware and software
    • Server (Windows Server, and Linux Servers) hardware and software
    • ChMS Database
    • Google Workspace (G Suite/Google Apps) for Education
    • Data Storage hardware and software
    • Printers and Copiers
    • Hosted VoIP Phone system
    • WAN and LAN connectivity
    • WLAN Access points
    • Website management, and hosting
  • Maintain IT inventory
  • User account administration
  • Network and systems design and maintenance
  • Train staff and volunteers on systems
  • Give direction to and work with outside vendors (consultants, contractors, and/or vendors)
  • Assist in the development and management of IT budgets
  • Create and implement strategy for future IT systems, working with the Director of Infrastructure and church leadership to support the mission of the church
