Children’s Loom Weaving Workshop

May 18 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for a children’s loom weaving workshop!

Children will learn the fundamentals of tapestry weaving using a fabricated frame loom to create an 8×8 woven piece to take home.

Through the use of yarn and fabric strips, children can explore various colors and textures, using the tactile nature of fibers to connect with their sense of touch and feel. The over and under nature of tapestry weaving provides a hands-on experience that improves dexterity and builds problem-solving skills.

Students will use alpaca and sheep wool, and learn where these fibers come from and how woven textiles are used in everyday life.

This event is for ages 5 and up. We encourage parents to participate with us. You can register HERE
