ReHope of Greater Kansas City offers long-term residential housing and faith-based restorative programs and services for adult women and minor girl survivors of human trafficking.

The next phase of development for ReHope is to “raise the barn” on the farm to house animals, equipment, and provide therapeutic opportunities that are transformational in the overall healing and restoration in the lives of these survivors. 

What will happen in the barn?

• Provide a home for the farm goats where they can safely breed, birth, live, and grow. Their milk will be used to make soaps as part of the micro-enterprise healing arts program.
• Survivors will be taught to care for the goats. This direct contact and care of the animals has been associated with a reduction in symptoms for PTSD which include disassociation, depression, and anxiety.
• Provide storage for farm equipment, tools, and supplies to care for the property and animals.
• House the water distribution pumps, which will supply the tiny cottage village with water.

We hope you can see that raising a barn for ReHope is more than raising money for a building. It is helping restore and build a future for survivors of human trafficking.
