More Than a Snack Class
September 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Have you found yourself asking if your child is ready to take communion? Do you have questions about the best way to prepare them for this sacrament? Have they been taking communion but you haven’t had a conversation with them to truly explain what it means? If you have any of those questions, this is the class for you and your child!
At Christ Community Church, we believe communion is one of two “ordinances” of the church. Baptism is the other. An ordinance is basically a directive (something you do because someone told you to do it) or command. Communion is an ordinance because it is something Jesus commanded or ordained that the church should practice. Communion is a ceremony that the church observes and practices as a sign of the grace God has shown to us. It is a way for those of us who have experienced the saving grace of Jesus to remember and celebrate what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross and God raised him from the dead.
Come join us for a two-session course meeting September 13 and 20. We’ll dive into what communion is and explain why it is MORE THAN A SNACK. We will gather together from 6-7:30 PM. Dinner will be provided for both classes. This class is intended for parents and their children aged 5 years through 5th grade. Please register HERE. Childcare provided.
