Old Testament Overview

Join us for this 8-week Tuesday evening class for all adults.
We will introduce you to the basic content of the Old Testament, giving you strategic overviews of the material to help you understand how it all fits together. This will be aided by the use of pictures, charts, and maps to help you visualize and remember important information.
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
- Recognize and slot key people, places, and events of the Old Testament.
- Know the basic idea of what each Old Testament book is about.
- Understand key concepts that will help you grasp the “bigger picture” of the Old Testament Scriptures.
This course will be taught by Leawood congregant, Ken Shoemaker. Ken has graduate degrees from Biblical Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Master of Theology), and University of California-Berkeley and Graduate Theological Union (PhD – Near Eastern Religions). Ken has taught Old Testament at two seminaries in Canada and also pastored two churches in Canada.
