Retreat Day with The Saint John’s Bible
August 9 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ignite your spiritual imagination by immersing yourself into the art and inspiration of The Saint John’s Bible. The day begins with the fascinating story of the creation of The Saint John’s Bible and unpacks several of the project’s stunning illuminations through group conversations. Visio Divina, or sacred seeing, will fill the afternoon as participants delve more deeply into a single passage of the Bible with a unique and reflective visual Bible study experience. Noon and closing prayer services and time to explore the gallery will enrich the day.
Lunch is provided.
This event is presented by Tim Ternes, the Director of The Saint John’s Bible at the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He serves as curator for the Bible project and manages exhibitions, programming, and caring for the original pages of the manuscript. In his role as director, he worked closely with the artistic team during the creation of the Bible serving as facilitator between artist and commissioner. This collaboration has given him extensive behind-the-scenes knowledge and great stories about all aspects of The Saint John’s Bible project.
