Leawood Families

No matter the age of your children, we create spaces to safely nurture them as we come alongside you in helping them grow spiritually.

Children

Children’s Ministries programming is available at 9 & 10:30 AM for Birth—5th grade.

Beginning 15 minutes prior to the service, parents may drop off their children. Check-in your child at the bottom of the stairs. Parents pick up their children immediately following the worship service.

6 months–2 years

Children in our nursery space are read to, played with,
and given snacks to ensure they are content.

Please send diapers, a complete change of clothes, and a bottle or sippy cup. Also, please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippy cups) with your child’s first and last name. (Labels are provided at the entrance of your children’s class.) And lastly, toddlers will be offered a snack of Goldfish.

3–5 years

For 2s and 3s, repetition is essential, so each Bible story is shared for two weeks. For 4s and 5s, we use a two-year curriculum, telling different stories over the years.

1st–5th Grades

For 1st to 5th graders, we use a three-year curriculum, teaching them the Big God Story (Bible) from creation to Revelation.

Children meet in a large group for worship music and Bible story, and then they move into small groups for discussion, response, and games.

Safety is our priority!

We want our Children’s Ministries spaces to be healthy places for children. Please do not bring your child to their classroom if they have any of the following:

Fever within last 24 hours; Runny nose that is not clear; Questionable rashes; Coughing; Diarrhea; Impetigo; Active chicken pox; Measles/mumps; Pinkeye

Any child on antibiotics should have been on the drug for at least 24 hours before checking in to Children’s Ministries.

Students

Helping students know the gospel and be known by the church.

We gather. We grow. We give.

At Christ Community, we know that your middle school and high school years can be tough. But they can also be amazing. And amazing happens as you discover your purpose and find a sense of belonging in the world.
