Church for Monday

Learning to lead, for men and women.

What is Church for Monday

Christ Community

Since the early days of Christ Community, we’ve been intentional about preparing Christians for all life. Decades ago, a catalytic learning experience was developed to enable participants to intellectually and practically engage ideas and habits that have shaped our church. This experience has evolved into what we now call Church for Monday.

Who, what, where, and when?

Church for Monday is the place where men and women at Christ Community are “sharpened” (Proverbs 27:17) and refined as apprentices of Jesus so that they are prepared to follow Christ with integral hearts and skillful hands (Psalm 78:70-72).

Church for Monday is a space for anyone at Christ Community who desires to grow in their ability to follow Jesus wherever they are. And it serves as the basic prerequisite for anyone wishing to serve in a place of leadership at Christ Community.

Designed to engage multiple types of learning and formation, Church for Monday includes teaching, conversation, reading, Scripture memory, and Bible study. Each 1-hour-and-45-minute session includes a mixture of teaching, Q&A, and guided group discussion.

Church for Monday is offered every fall at each of Christ Community’s campuses, beginning in September and finishing just before Thanksgiving. Childcare is provided on-site for all sessions at no charge.
