What is Church for Monday
Since the early days of Christ Community, we’ve been intentional about preparing Christians for all of life. Decades ago, a catalytic learning experience was developed to enable participants to intellectually and practically engage ideas and habits that have shaped our church. This experience has evolved into what we now call Church for Monday.
Who, what, where, and when?
Church for Monday is the place where men and women at Christ Community are “sharpened” (Proverbs 27:17) and refined as apprentices of Jesus so that they are prepared to follow Christ with integral hearts and skillful hands (Psalm 78:70-72).
Church for Monday is a space for anyone at Christ Community who desires to grow in their ability to follow Jesus. It also serves as the basic prerequisite for anyone wishing to serve in a place of leadership at Christ Community.
Designed to engage multiple types of learning and formation, Church for Monday includes teaching, conversation, reading, Scripture memorization, and Bible study. Each session includes a mixture of teaching, Q&A, and guided group discussion.
We offer Church for Monday every fall at each of Christ Community’s campuses, beginning in September and finishing just before Thanksgiving. Childcare is provided on-site for all sessions at no charge. Registration is required.
